Chef Basket Review

Tuesday, December 28th, 2010

Chef Basket ReviewThe Chef Basket is a very handy item to have around the kitchen or even your outdoor kitchen. If you love to cook, the Chef Basket is indispensable.  It is a combination strainer, colander and deep frying  frying basket. The Chef Basket is  really cool how it folds down flat so it takes up much less cupboard space. I recently sprained my wrist and found it extremely hard to pour the water out of a large pot of boiled noodles. That’s when my husband bought me the Chef Basket which I am now able to use with just 1 hand it’s so easy! I just lift the handle and take my pasta right out of the pot and on to my serving dish. I usually just dangle it over the sink for a minute to drain first, of course. You can use the Chef Basket to boil, deep fry, steam, poach, blanch and even par-boil. I mostly use it for pasta because I try to eat a little more healthy, but I do splurge once in a while, especially if it has anything to do with deep fried shrimp!  The Chef Basket is pretty much a must have item for anyone who cooks, and is especially handy if the chef is disabled in any way.

As I said before, I mostly use the Chef Basket for making pasta of all types, from spaghetti to lasagna.  I simply boil a pot of water, pour my pasta into the Chef Basket and and then drop basket down into the pot of boiling water. Then when my timer goes off I just pull the Chef Basket out of the pot, dangle it over the sink for a couple of seconds and rinse it out under the faucet, then shake out the excess water then just dump it into whatever serving dish I happen to be using. If you have ever tried to dump a huge pot of boiling water out into a strainer sitting in the sink then you know what a task this can be, but with the Chef Basket, its simple and safe, even when you have a sprained wrist! The stay-cool handle built into the Chef Basket makes it real easy to handle!

I don’t do a lot of deep frying due to the negative health issues, but I do fry up some fish n chips once in awhile because there is just something heavenly about fish and chips covered in malt vinegar, yum! My husband also loves his deep fried foods, so even he loves to use the Chef Basket too! What I love about him using it is, he doesn’t destroy my kitchen like he used too, making cleanup much less of a hassle. I really don’t understand how a man can create such a mess anyway, but all I know is when he uses the Chef Basket, it’s much less messy in the kitchen when he’s done!

The Chef Basket comes with a nice little recipe booklet if you need some good recipes, but honestly it’s not necessary because it works with just about anything. You can use it to deep fry, or boil just about anything imaginable. It folds down flat making it easy to store and takes up a lot less space than a strainer, and it has a lot more uses too. My husband bought it from the official chef basket website I’ve listed below. It’s dirt cheap for all that it does.

Relieve pain and stiffness with Light Relief Therapy

I must admit, I was prettyLight Relief skeptical of this product… I mean, the product claims that Light Relief  will penetrate deep down and soothe away pain fast and easy. It sounds preposterous! However, modern technology has made  this miraculous new technology possible to relieve pain using LED light! It has only recently been made available to the masses. What I have found is that using the  Light Relief does penetrate deep into body tissue to relieve deep down pain and stiffness just like they claimed! I was a bit shocked actually, and was very relieved to finally find something that works well enough that I can toss out those pain pills I really hate taking.

Light Relief Therapy uses LED lights, aka light emitting diodes to focus powerful streams of warm and therapeutic light deep down into tissue and increases circulation. It relieves aches, pains and stiffness by targeting aching muscles and joints. By increasing blood flow, Light Relief brings relief to sore tissues. Once again you can enjoy peace of mind and comfort like you had when you were much younger.

The folks over at Light Relief are making it easy to see the benefits of this amazing new technology by offering the Light Relief for just two payments of $39.95! Jack Lalanne Power Juicer

Saturday, April 10th, 2010

jack lalanne power juicer proThe Jack Lalanne Power Juicer is the as seen on tv juicer from the world famous Jack Lalanne. This one is a very nice juicer that is a commercial quality juicer so it is rugged and big enough to juice raw fruits and vegetables. If you have ever tried one of those cheapo juicers from one of those big-box stores you ma have found it to be quite a hassle and not being able to extract much juice. One of the benefits of the Jack Lalanne power juicer is it can extract up to 30% more juice than one of those cheapy models seen in stores. This not only adds up to a huge savings, I have also found that much of the ‘good stuff’ is left behind with a cheap juicer.  The Jack Lalanne power juicer is easy to clean too, just pop out the surgical steel blades and toss them in the dishwasher, it really is a snap.

You can order the Jack Lalanne Juicer online from the official website and get it with the 2 easy payment plan, or just buy it outright. If you want to juice, then do juicing right and get a Jack Lalanne Power Juicer. If money is tight, just do the 2 pay plan and you will be glad you did. Below is the link to order from the official Jack Lalanne Power Juicer Website.

Living Well HealthmasterHealthmaster Blender

The raw food diet is all the rage these days and the Healthmaster came onto the market at just the right time offering a fantastic value for such a powerful blender. The Healthmaster Blender is comparable in power to the BlendTec or the Vitamix but at about 2/3 of the price! I think the whole idea that Montel Williams is the one putting the Healthmaster out there is somewhat silly, but I hear he is really into the raw food diet, so I guess it makes more sense.
I personally am not on a raw food diet, but I love to make smoothies and margaritas and I can tell you one thing for certain, the Healthmaster is the most powerful blender I have ever owned in my life! My margaritas come out smooth and silky, and my smoothies are even smoother! I throw raw carrots in with some frozen fruits and it blends up beautifully with not a single chunk left behind. The Healthmaster is a massive 2hp blender! I mean, 2hp is an enormous amount of power for a blender.

How big is the Healthmaster Blender

It is obviously larger than some cheap oster or kitchen aid blender, but it has to be. To me, having my Healthmaster sitting on my counter is a beautiful site. Its got sleek lines and curves and is very modern and goes perfectly with the rest of my appliances. The Healthmaster is so powerful it can turn raw vegetables into HOT soup without even cooking it. I didn’t actually believe this one until I tried it. I had a bunch of excess from my garden so I threw in all sorts of vegetables and turned it on and let it run, and sure enough, before I knew it I had a hot creamy vegetable soup that actually tasted awesome. I spiced it up a little with some italian seasoning mix and it was MUCH better than any kind of V8 juice or any of that garbage. I really just bought the Healthmaster to make smoothies and margaritas, but find myself using it more and more for other things as well. It really is a great appliance and I find myself using it at least 3-4 times a week. I couldn’t bring myself to spend $600 on a Vitamix, so the $200 price point on this Healthmaster made it a no-brainer for me.
